The Somerville Public Schools (SPS) is a richly diverse learning community serving approximately 5,000 students in 11 innovative and creative school environments.

Albert F. Argenziano School at Lincoln Park
Somerville Public Schools K-8 school. The Dr. Albert F. Arthur D. Healey School
Somerville Public Schools K-8 school. The Healey School is an innovative participatory learning community. Academic competence is highly valued, and we believe that children learn best in a joyful, creative environment, one in which their natural curiosity, imagination and thinking are encouraged. Our curriculum is based on thematic, project based learning, designed to engage children's interest and best efforts. East Somerville Community School
Somerville Public Schools K-8 school. The East Somerville Community School (ESCS) is a diverse school in an ethnically rich neighborhood. ESCS lives its motto, "Every Student Can Succeed," by preparing students to achieve at high levels in their next stage of education, while applying the skills of life-long learning. The dedicated staff members provide regular education and special education services through a team approach that combines high quality, challenging classroom instruction with academic support. ESCS offers the best qualities of a large school with a welcoming and respectful atmosphere that makes each student feel valued and part of a community. John F. Kennedy School
Somerville Public Schools K-8 school. At the Kennedy School, we emphasize treating each student as an individual and providing opportunities and activities to challenge students' strengths and strengthen their challenges. We have adopted three themes to focus all teaching and learning: Success for All Students, Building Community through Better Communications, and (Re)Discovering the Excitement of Learning.
Next Wave Alternative School
Next Wave Alternative Junior High School and Full Circle Alternative High School teach to students who have difficulty learning in traditional educational settings. We are a safe place for everyone & every member of the school community will be treated with respect.
West Somerville Neighborhood School
Somerville Public Schools K-8 school. The West Somerville Neighborhood School (WSNS) is committed to improving and supporting student achievement by creating an environment for academic achievement, creative thinking, and community building. The WSNS state-of-the-art facility allows staff to meet the needs of all students and provides a safe, supportive and enriching environment where students can excel. Our goal is to teach our children the social and academic skills to be successful citizens of the 21st Century.
Winter Hill Community Innovation School
Somerville Public Schools K-8 school. The Winter Hill Community Innovation School is the district's first Innovation School. The school is a child-centered, academically rich environment that serves a population of students from culturally diverse backgrounds. It incorporates kindergarten, elementary, middle school, Sheltered English Immersion (SEIP) and Special Education programs taught by an experienced and caring faculty. The Winter Hill Wildcat Pledge: We, the Winter Hill Wildcat Family, pledge to show improvement in comprehension. In order to achieve our goal we will read daily, learn new vocabulary, and practice strategies to develop understanding of main ideas and inferences.

St. Catherine of Genoa School
St. Catherine of Genoa School, located at 192 Summer Street, Somerville, has educated students for over eighty years. Our motto, Christ-Community-Commitment, captures the spirit of Saint Catherine's. The dedicated administrative faculty and staff create a learning environment in which students develop necessary skills for a responsible Christian citizenship which will hopefully impact their lives. Our school is an accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, (NEASC) which is proof that our standards are high and our curriculum enables us to meet these standards.
The Center for Semi-Conducted Learning at Parts and Crafts
The Center for Semi-Conducted Learning (CSCL) is a school alternative program open to homeschoolers, unschoolers, and other people aged 7 to 13 interested in sharing a fun, creative, and exploratory space with like-minded people. We are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 3 p.m., with individual classes offered in science, engineering, art, and creative writing four days a week and one day reserved for offsite field trips
