Join Jessica Garret, a Somerville resident, science educator and co-author of a kid's experiment book, "Oh Ick, 114 Science Experiments Guaranteed to Gross You Out!" for a hands-on STEAM program!

At West, we'll be working with Dry Ice: Bubble, bubble, ice and magic! Come try amazing experiments with dry ice, a really weird substance! Find out how to make a giant bubble filled with spooky mist, and how to make your dry ice squeal with just a metal spoon! This will get messy, so bring clothes that can get wet or food coloring on them. If you can, bring a pair of light winter gloves...We'll have some on hand if you forget.

Note: this program will take place downstairs in the Community Room (basement level).

Ages 6+ (under 8 with a grownup, please). Questions? Contact Alison: amitchell@somervillema.gov
