On Wednesday, June 12 at 7pm the SPL Nonfiction Book Club will be discussing Daniel Tammet's memoir, Born on a Blue Day: Inside the Extraordinary Mind of an Autistic Savant. Join us on Zoom as we discsuss Tammet's account of his difficult life and extraordinary talents: he's a high-functioning autist with synesthesia (he experiences numbers and words as shapes and colors) and he speaks ten languages (he learned Icelandic in a week). The New York Times Book Review called Born on a Blue Day "a rare first-person insight into a mysterious and confounding disorder."
