This 7-week course will help American students to master basic knowledge of Bengali, like reading and writing skills, alphabets, grammar and conversation. The emphasis will be on teaching conversational skills to native speakers of English. The lessons will familiarize students with the structure of Bengali language, its idioms and culture. They include:
-alphabets: vowels and consonants
-Spelling, grammar and sentence structure
-Writing sentences
-Pronunciation
-Conversation
-Information about Bengali culture
