Community Forum: Beyond School Policing: Creating a Safe Environment at SPS

The reprehensible police response to the tragic events at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas prove what many of us already know: Cops are incapable of stopping violence in schools. Somerville students in particular have been assaulted and traumatized by our own police department in just the past month. There are, however, real ways to make our public schools a safer, more equitable place for all. Come share your vision for what Somerville Public Schools should look like and discuss how to get there with fellow community members at the Central Branch of the Somerville Public Library on June 15th at 7 pm.

This event is hosted by the Party of Socialism and Liberation in accordance with Somerville Public Library's Room Reservation Policies. It is free and open to the public.
