This month we're going to discuss The Dark Is Rising sequence by Susan Cooper.
Whether you've read one of the books or all of them, you're welcome to join us to talk about this acclaimed series. The books draw upon Arthurian legends, Celtic mythology, Norse mythology and English folklore, to depict a struggle between forces of good and evil: "The Light" and "The Dark". A group of children, some ordinary and some not, become involved in the conflict, which ranges through different parts of Britain and into different historical times. Prepare yourself to encounter Old Ones and Dark Lords, Things of Power and strange creatures, Wild Magic, Old Magic, and more.
