Join local poets Ed Meek, Doug Holder and Lee Varon as they read some of their recent work. 

Ed Meek is the author of five books of poetry and Luck, a collection of short stories. His most recent book of poems, Great Pond, has just come out. He also has a memoir coming out this spring and a children’s book due out this summer. He has had work in The Boston Globe, The Boston Review, The North American Review, The Paris Review, Plume, The Sun, The Baltimore Review. He teaches creative writing at the Osher Institute. He writes book reviews for The Arts Fuse.

Doug Holder is the founder of the Ibbetson Street Press. He is the arts/editor for The Somerville Times, and former co-president of the New England Poetry Club. He teaches creative writing at Endicott College. His poetry and prose have appeared in Rattle, Pratik, Lowell Review, Worcester Review, South Florida Poetry Journal, The Boston Globe and many others.

Lee Varon is a social worker and writer. Her latest poetry collection is "The Last Bed" (2024). She also writes books about Substance Use Disorder for families and young people. In 2021 she published "My Brother is  Not a Monster: A Story of Addiction and Recovery," and in 2024 she published "A Kids Book About Overdose."
