Join us on Zoom Wednesday, October 8 at 7 pm for a discussion of John Bradshaw's The Animals Among Us: How Pets Make Us Human. Biologist and science writer Bradshaw poses the question, why do we have pets? In doing so he seems to have created a new discipline: anthrozoology, the interactions of humans and animals. In trying to plumb the nature of human-animal relationships (and giving us a gentle introduction to evolutionary theory), he debunks a few myths along the way.
