Annual Evolution of Hip Hop Festival in Union Square on August 23rd!
The Somerville Arts Council and Wilks Productions invite community members to the eleventh annual Evolution of Hip Hop Festival on Saturday, August 23, (rain date: August 24), from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Union Square Plaza. This event is free and will include musical performances, craft vendors and community resources.

Free Summer Meals Program for Somerville Youth Available NOW!
The ‘Free Summer Meals’ program provides free meals to all Somerville kids and teens age 18 and under from Monday, July 7, through August 22, 2025. Breakfast and lunch foods will be distributed at youth-friendly locations Monday to Friday at locations citywide. No registration or ID are required.

Registration is now open for Summer Playgroups and Parent Support Groups!
The summer session of SFLC playgroups & parent support groups will start officially on July 14th and will run until August 21st! All groups are drop-in this summer (no registration is required), with the exception of the School Readiness Playgroup.

The Office of Immigrant Affairs is offering Know Your Rights training sessions to empower community members and families with essential information about their rights. These sessions are available in multiple languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole (Cantonese, Mandarin, and Nepali upon request).
