The Somerville Family Learning Collaborative offers weekly literacy playgroups. They provide an opportunity for children birth-5 years old to explore, focusing on literacy and social skills through a rich, play-based curriculum.

Somerville Recreation Drop-in Play/Tot Time
Our main goal is to have fun while learning and improve social skills while encouraging creative expression. Throughout each day we will participate in free-play, reading, arts and crafts, music, singing, dancing, blocks, puzzles, and morning meetings.

Somerville YMCA
The Somerville YMCA hosts various fitness facilities and offers a variety of camps, programs, and activities for children year-round. As well as swimming, the YMCA offers indoors soccer, basketball, karate and gymnastics for different age groups.

Sprout Sports
Sprout Sports is a preschool program for ages 3 to 5 years old where children learn the fundamentals of sports with Somerville Parks and Recreation Staff. Children will be taught the basics of sports before they start organized sports with an emphasis to develop motor skills and to have fun! Children will learn the basics of soccer, basketball, baseball, football, and hockey.
