Writers' Den is a creative writing group for 7th-12th graders in the Somerville area.Newcomers welcome! Run by Somerville writers and filmmakers, Cara Feinberg and Allyson Sherlock, the group is open to all types of young writers. Every week, we give new prompts and/or stories or films to share as inspiration. The prompts are funny or
thought-provoking — something to get us all talking and the creative juices flowing. We then spend time together writing and sharing our individual work for feedback from
the group. The goal: to make writing a non-daunting, non-lonely respite from academia. If we all only have a bit of time to write, the product doesn't have to be (and can't be) perfect, and we're in it together -- a club where we entertain each other with words and wit.
