Today the Central Library Children’s Room welcomes Richard Wight, a Community Health Educator from the Cambridge Health Alliance, who will read:
We Listen to Our Bodies by Lydia Bowers
Rissy No Kissies by Katey Howes
and
Don't Touch My Hair by Sharee Miller
These gentle, age-appropriate books focus on early body autonomy education and helps children to understand safe and unsafe touch, and to feel empowered to speak up to trusted adults.
The SPL and the CHA hope to support caregivers in starting these important safety conversations early.
