This series blends energizing dance fitness with conversations about stress relief, wellness, and resilience in a welcoming environment. No dance experience needed—just come as you are.
What to bring: A water bottle and comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in.
This series is designed to support participants in building greater awareness of their emotional, social, physical, and spiritual wellbeing, while offering practical tools to manage stress and an uplifting space to move, connect, and exercise in community.
Topics covered include:
- The different dimensions of wellness
- The stress cycle and stress response
- Strategies for realistic stress management
- Benefits of dance and movement for mind and body
- The importance of social connection for resilience
Participants leave with a deeper understanding of their own wellness needs, tools they can apply in daily life, and the experience of recharging through movement and community.

About the Presenter:
Cecilia Plotkin is the founder of Thrive In Motion, a licensed social worker, and a passionate dance fitness instructor originally from Argentina. With over a decade of experience in Latin-inspired movement and 14+ years in community mental health, Cecilia blends the joy of dance with holistic wellness practices. Her workshops offer an uplifting space to move, connect, and support both body and mind.
Thrive In Motion is a small, women- and minority-owned business offering innovative wellness programming throughout the Boston area. They provide accessible, joyful movement-based and wellness education programs designed to support physical, emotional, and social well-being. They specialize in low-barrier, culturally inclusive experiences for diverse communities.
