Playful Engineers are returning to the Central Library with their Artful Mechanisms program!
Kids will create basic linkages and automata for their own artful mechanisms that send messages, tell stories, or accomplish tasks. Materials include paper clips, paper cups, popsicles sticks, brads, cardboard, and other ordinary stuff. Participants can bring their inventions home to continue working on them, if they choose.
This workshop is recommended for kids ages 6-12. Adults should plan to accompany kids 8 and younger.
