Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a stroll about town to meet the plants in our neighborhood! We will explore botany and medicinal uses and have lots of space for questions and conversation.
NOTE: This program begins at the library but will then walk throughout the neighborhood, arriving late may mean you miss the group at the library and will not be able to catch up.
About the Presenter:
Mo Katz-Christy is an Clinical Herbalist and believes in the inherent capacity of bodies to heal, and uses plants to help support that capacity. Mo spent three years studying herbalism in-depth at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism. In their final year they worked in the sliding-scale student clinic, where they saw dozens of clients and received support from their colleagues and teachers. They continue to learn from the plants and from lectures, books, and conferences — and from their garden and kitchen! They especially value supporting anyone who has felt marginalized by healthcare professionals including elders, neurodivergent and queer folks.
