Join violinist Joshua Peckins for a communal experience of listening to Classical Music, ranging from ancient music to present day!
In addition to listening examples, you will learn about the historical and artistic context, have an opportunity to ask questions and share your personal experience with the music, and discover what a professional musician hears and thinks about while listening.
Joshua Peckins has appeared as violin soloist throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and has performed locally with the Boston Pops; he returns to the Somerville Libraries to present these lectures following annual recitals at the Somerville Libraries for the past decade.
No previous experience necessary, all music lovers are welcome!
