In this first workshop, taught by Certified Zentangle® Teacher, Lori Champine, students will learn about the 8 basic steps of the method, and the associated vocabulary and tools used. Students will create their own Zentangle tile, developing a clear understanding of the Zentangle motto, “Anything is possible, one stroke at a time.”® Students will take home tools necessary to continue their practice.

About Zentangle

The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by mindfully drawing structured and repeated patterns.  People of all ages and abilities, all over the world, enjoy the wonderful benefits of Zentangle.

This mindful drawing practice provides artistic satisfaction along with an increased measure of personal well-being. Those who engage regularly with The Zentangle Method often report a feeling of calm and relaxation similar to mindful meditation experiences.

No prior drawing experience or skill level is necessary. Those with prior experience will have the benefit of reviewing the overall process in preparation for the next two sessions. Repetition is an important aspect of the method.
