The Somerville Arts Council Board is offering several work sessions to prepare people for the Local Cultural Council (LCC) application process. These LCC Work Sessions are 2 hours long, and designed to jumpstart artists and educators to polish their ideas for the LCC Grant 2026 season, ahead of the mid-October 2026 deadline. They are free and open to the public!

The Local Cultural Council Grant funds Artist Fellowships, Artist Projects and more!
What kind of artist can apply?
We broadly define artists beyond visual arts, such as musicians to writers to dancers to cultural arts and more.
During the LCC Work sessions…
SAC board members will offer a short presentation on an aspect of the grant. The majority of the remaining time will be dedicated to working with artists on their applications.
