The City of Somerville will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially unveil the transformation of the Healey Community Play Area, formerly known as the Healey tot lot.
The new playground, designed in partnership with the Healey School community and the Friends of Healey, features state-of-the-art play structures for children ages 2-5, an expanded natural area with log seating, and bright colors and graphics. The playground renovations were funded by Community Preservation Act funds. The Play Area is the first phase of a larger Healey schoolyard renovation project currently under construction and expected to be completed in the summer of 2022.
