Creative Patching is an in-person mending workshop that will focus on how to repair holes, tears, and stains in clothing using fabric patches and hand embroidery techniques. Participants will learn about tools and materials for patching, and how to combine fabric patches with simple hand embroidery stitches to create eye-catching visible mends.

About the Presenter:

Jessamy is a Somerville-based textile artist and sustainable fashion designer specializing in creative mending and upcycling. She earned a BFA in Fibers and Certificate in Fashion Design from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, and has taught mending at the Cambridge Public Library, Make & Mend in Somerville, and the Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts in Jamaica Plain.
