During the past year I have been interviewing 350 people in Somerville about their greatest fears. I have also collected about 600 fears worldwide, using an on-line survey. The objective is to start a conversation about fear, to learn from each other and encourage people to look at how fear is influencing so much of what is happening in the world; how it contributes to all kinds of conflicts, internal, interpersonal and even geopolitically.
There are two goals to the project:
1. Create a digital wall of Fear, collecting 1,000 responses from people of all ages, responding to question: what is your greatest fear?
2. A show – a physical event which will display the digital wall of fears and also some interviews, storytelling and music.
