Somerville High School Auditorium, 81 Highland Avenue
Teen Empowerment's 12th Annual Somerville Youth Peace Conference with more than 300 Somerville youth and adults are expected to attend. The conference features an all-original show with theater, spoken word, music, and speeches. Youth have been working to create a powerful show to address the issues that youth face in Somerville, and to bring the community together. Some of the topics that will be addressed include issues relating to mental health, discrimination, gentrification, relationships, violence, and more. The event ends with a healing ceremony and ice cream reception for all in attendance. Tickets $2, in advance $3 at the door.
