Join us for a day and half of theatre arts for students in grades 6-12, followed by a field trip to Emerson College to tour the Performing Arts Department. On Monday, students will sample from a series of workshops on topics such as Improvisation, Stage Combat, Costume & Makeup Design, Musical Theatre, Lighting & Set Design, and Prop Making. Tuesday is “A Play in a Day!” Students will bring together all they learned on Monday to create a short performance piece. It’s “Chopped” for the theatre! Co-sponsored by Somerville Parks & Recreation.
Cost: Free for Somerville residents ($50 for nonresidents)
