Eclipse Viewing Party at the Central Library

Join the Library for our Eclipse Viewing Party!

A solar eclipse occurs with the moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun. The moon is much smaller than the sun, but because it is so close to the Earth it can appear to partially or complete block the image of the sun.

Bring your glasses, or another eclipse viewer to watch as it moves through it's path, make eclipse chalk art, and do shadow tracing on the Library's pathways, and generally enjoy this unique scientific event!
